What brought you to CrossFit e-town?

I went on vacation to Hawaii and saw people doing CrossFit on the beach and thought “Hmmm that looks fun- they are all in such great shape!” so I told myself when I got home from vacation that I would join CrossFit near my house to get back into shape and to start feeling healthy and confident about myself.

What was your first impression?

I was nervous! It seemed super intimidating at first but going through the 101 made me feel more at ease.  Everyone is always so friendly!  

What are you currently working on?

I’m working on my strength and my confidence. Having coaches push you because they know you have it inside of you to “do one more work” really gives me that assurance, saying “yes I can”. I also made a bet with my boyfriend that, one year from now, I will be able to do 1 muscle up (and win 500 bucks) 🙂 

What’s the toughest part of CrossFit for you?

Definitely double unders! haha I think CrossFit is just tough in general- it takes a strong person to make yourself get out of bed every day, come to class, give it your all and be the best that you can be. 

What is your favorite memory at CrossFit e-town?

I just did my first Rx WOD and my first toe-to-bar! I was so proud of myself! Just a few weeks ago, I couldn’t do toe to bars and for me, it just shows with hard work and dedication, you can really surprise yourself with what you can achieve. Whoowhoo!

How long have you been doing CrossFit?

I just joined CrossFit at the end of October. 

What kind of changes have you seen, both physically and mentally?

Physically, I feel stronger. It feels good to come to class and be able to add weight each time. Mentally, I feel more confident in myself. We sometimes let our mind get to us, where we think “I can’t do that, no way I can’t lift that” but really all you need is that extra support from the awesome coaches to show you “Yes you can!”
